Zion is currently pursuing a double major in Psychology and Secondary Education/Youth Studies with a focus in Chemistry as a part of Roosevelt University’s accelerated Master’s program. Zion has developed a love for youth while working as a teacher’s assistant in the arts department and mentoring youth ages 11-17 at Gary Comer Youth Center, as well her experiences as a nanny. Zion utilized her close and personal experiences with youth education and development to motivate and catapult her into an educational career path.

First stop on this educational career path was Culture Specialist at The Noble Academy. In this environment, Zion gained further insight into the experiences of marginalized youth within her community. These insights illuminated the importance of programs like Lion’s Pride Mentoring, and she became a Campus Manager while still doing her Culture team role. In addition to being a Campus Manager, Zion coached the dance team and supported the baseball team. After some time at The Noble Academy, she decided to pivot to being an in-house Campus Manager for Lion’s Pride. She is currently supporting two of our partner schools.
